House Progress

As I have posted previously, we have started our new house! We are so excited. We have been waiting for this day for a long time. Johnny and I had a precious house in Oxford and we actually miss it (not the closet space, or lack thereof), and we had an "ok" house in Jackson (it was just a rip off for the $), and now we are living in an apartment in Tupelo (which is super nice, actually nicer than our house in Jackson, but its just not "ours"). So, we are definitely thrilled to finally have a house of our own. We are building in Spring Lake and we think it will be a great neighborhood for Ella to grow up in. She can ride her bike to the clubhouse and tennis courts and we can swim in the pool during the summers (until we put our own in), and Max can even swim in all the lakes. Johnny and I are just really excited about the years to come. Here are some pictures of the lot before they cleared all the trees. We wanted to keep 1 of the 4 massive oak trees, however, they were smack in the middle of the lot, soooooo they had to go!

And here are pictures once my Dad's workers started knocking down trees.....

Excitement in the Burk Household

This summer has been pretty uneventful for the most part. However, we recently found out we are having a little princess, my stomach has decided it is time to "pop out", I am HALF WAY through my pregnancy, AND in other big news, we broke ground on our house!! YAY! We are so excited....the next few months will be crazy for many reasons:

1) preparing for Princess's arrival
2) building a house (yipeeeee)
3) finishing pharmacy school
4) Johnny starting his MBA
5) couple weekend trips
6) friend's wedding festivities

Hopefully Johnny and I will be able to keep our sanity through out it all. Should be interesting. And I swear, on my next post there WILL be pictures. :)

Lazy

I have been saying for weeks that I am going to upload pictures from the past 3 months (its now probably the past 5 months), but I have just been so lazy lately. By the time I have worked at Walgreens, come home and fixed dinner (or brought home dinner), I am sleeeeeeepy. And I just want to watch TV and relax, and I just keep procrastinating. But on to baby news, princess Burk is doing well. We got our "triple screen" results and everything was great. I think for my age the relative risk for the conditions it tested for was like 1 out of 980, and my actual relative risk was 1 out of 10,000....PTL. Such a blessing. :) As for names go, Johnny really loves the name "Ella". I like it a lot too, and we pretty much refer to her by Ella right now. Her full name would be Ella Cambria Burk. I think it flows well. And I actually like "Ella" or "Ella Cambria". It could be a double name or just Ella. Who knows.....we are still aren't 100% positive. What do you readers out there think??
And I am for real going to upload photos sometime soon. ;)

Boy or Girl?!?!?!

Its a................GIRL! We found out late Tuesday afternoon that baby Burk is going to be a little princess. She will have Johnny wrapped around her little finger. He has a hard enough time telling me "no", much less his baby girl. :) It should be interesting to see how Johnny is with her. We haven't decided on a name yet. We are toying with the name "Ann Cambria". Cambria is after his sister that died when she was 3 days old. And Ann is on both sides of our family. Nothing is set in stone (or monogram yet ha). We are also thinking "Demi" which was my great grandmother's name, and we had also looked at Annie, which is also a family name on both sides. We are just going to play around with some names for a few more weeks and see what sticks. :) Also, the sonogram looked great. Her kidneys, bladder, stomach, heart (all 4 chambers), spine and head all looked normal. Praise the Lord! Such a blessing. We cannot wait to meet her. She will definitely rule the house, princess crown and all!

Sweet, Sweet Summer Time

The last few weeks have been so relaxing. We went Destin for our Anniversary for 4 days and then we went again last week for a week. I have enjoyed my time off from school, but starting next Tuesday it's time to start rotations. My first rotation is at Walgreens. I am not planning on doing community pharmacy, but I am not completely ruling it out. Right now my sights are set on NMMC. I have 6 rotations there and I can't wait! I love all the people there and it is always a lot of fun being on rotation there (especially since I know most of them). Jim Bain's Pharmacy is my second rotation and I will love it! I always love being with Mr. Jim. He is such a trip! I hate for my leisure time to end, however, the sooner I get these rotations over with, the sooner I start getting a fat pay check ha! So, Johnny is excited the end is in sight as well. We are hoping to start on our new house in the next few weeks as well. So, with rotations, building a house, AND a baby on the way.....the next few months should be quite interesting. Keep us in your prayers! :)

In baby news, our last appointment 3 weeks ago went great. Heartbeat sounded good....it was between 160-165bpm (so 99% of people are saying that it's a boy; the chinese calender also says its a boy; and my mom says it's a boy as well and she guessed both my nephew & niece right). But, we will see who's right on July 13. We can't wait! :)

And pictures from the last like THREE months will be posted soon.....I have to clean off some of my iTunes downloads because my memory is getting extremely low!
