Preschool Easter Party- April 17, 2014

Anne Cambria's class had a very sweet Easter party. They had some yummy food and cookies and then had an egg hunt! Anne Cambria was very intense with her egg hunt this year. Each child was suppose to get 12 eggs during the hunt, but we had a few too many so the teachers sorted them while the kids were taking their naps so everyone had the same amount of eggs. ;) Anne Cambria is just an avid hunter ha!!

Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt 2014

We are so blessed to live in a neighborhood with LOTS of young kids and families that we know. This year we had the first Lakeshire/Bel Aire Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt. It was the Sunday before Easter and it was SO much fun. Jason Bowles that owns the Bel Aire Golf Course graciously let us set up a tent and refreshments and let the kids hunt eggs on the back side of the golf course! Props to him! :) The weather was great and the kids had a blast! I was worried Mary Kate wouldn't be in to hunting eggs since she is only 15 months old, but boy was I wrong. She went step for step with Anne Cambria and all of her friends. Mary Kate had no problem keeping up!

Mary Kate is 15months old

My sweet baby girl is 15months old! She is so happy and loves trying to keep up with her big sister. Mary Kate was 31inches tall (65th %tile)  and weighed 23lbs 2oz (60th %tile) at her "15m check up". We had to combine an ear infection appointment and her well check up, and since she had been running a fever, she couldn't get her shots yet. We are headed back next week for that! We did find out that baby girl is allergic to penicillin. She tolerated Augmentin fine for her first ear infection back in February, but after 7 days on Amoxil for her 2nd ear infection, she broke out in a penicillin rash. So, we switched antibiotics and hopefully have this ear infection handled. Mary Kate is literally running everywhere she goes and she loves to explore! Her favorite thing to do is take all of the sippy cups and snack cups out of the drawer in the kitchen and arrange them in the lower cabinets. It is kind of maddening, but I let her do it because she is always so proud of herself afterwards. :) Mary Kate can say Mama, Daddy, dog, duck, hey and bye bye. She finally got another took, #9 on March 31. I was beginning to think she didn't have anymore ha! Mary Kate LOVES to play peek a boo especially while in her car seat. She is always up for a stroll or playing outside. I know she is going to love all of the water activities this summer! I cannot believe that the next "month" post I do for Mary Kate will be her 18month post AND she will be a Big Sister by then! Wow!
We love you, Mary Kate!

Mary Kate's 1 Year Photo Session

I have done so well so far keeping Mary Kate's pictures on schedule like I did with Anne Cambria, however, her 1year session snuck up on me. But luckily, Maggie Thompson Phipps came to the rescue and took some precious photos of the girls, and most importantly Mary Kate. We were about 6 weeks behind her 1 year birthday, but who's counting?! :) The weather cooperated perfectly, but Mary Kate was not too big of a fan of taking pictures that day. Maggie got several great shots, but we are going to do some more next week. Here is a sneak peak of what Maggie captured so far.

Pizza and Pajama Party at Preschool-March 6, 2014

Anne Cambria has been so excited about the upcoming pizza and pajama party at preschool! She had talked about it all week. She usually sleeps until 8:30-9:00am every morning, so we are usually rolling in to preschool a bit late, but this Thursday she was up at 7:45am and R-E-A-D-Y to go! Ha! Of course we had to wear our Princess nightgown and matching Princess house slippers. I think she looked precious, but I may be partial. ;)
Here is my sweet baby before her Pizza and Pajama Party!
