24month Checkup

On December 11 we went to see Dr. Ivancic for Anne Cambria's 24m checkup. She did much better than her 18m checkup. She was terrified of him at that one. She was very talkative and Dr. Ivancic was impressed with her. He said she was "very intelligent". :) Dr. Ivancic was also pleased with her eating habits. She only had to get her flu shot booster and we don't need anymore vaccines/immunizations until Kindergarten. Here are her stats and a few pictures from our visit.

Height: 34.5inches (50th %tile)

Weight: 26lbs 4oz (50th %tile)

Thank God for healthy babies!

Anne Cambria's 2nd Birthday Party

We had Anne Cambria's 2nd birthday party on December 1 this year. Johnny had to leave for Dallas, TX December 2 and wasn't returning until late evening on December 9, so we had to do it a week early this year. But that was ok. Anne Cambria had an Elmo themed party. She LOVES Sesame Street right now, so it worked perfectly! We even had a special guest at her party, Elmo! He came all the way from Sesame Street to hang out with Anne Cambria. ;) I was scared she would cry and not like him, but she LOVED having Elmo at her party. She walked right up to him and got in his lap. It was precious! She gave him a few kisses and just sat in his lap staring at him. It was so sweet. I am SO glad I went through with it. Lots of our little friends were able to come and Mary McGuire never disappoints with her creative designs! We had two inflatables set up and all of the kids enjoyed themselves! It was wild there for a while! I cannot believe a 2nd birthday party has already come and gone! My baby is growing up too fast and I am not happy about it!

Happy 2nd Birthday Anne Cambria

Today my sweet angel turns 2 years old! Where in the world did two years go???? It is truly a blessing to be Anne Cambria's mother. I'm not sure what I did to deserve such a happy and content baby girl, but I am so thankful God chose me to be her mother. There isn't one thing I would change! :) Anne Cambria is VERY busy these days. She is speaking more and more. She says several "sentences" and repeats everything (literally, so you better watch what you say infront of her ha!). Anne Cambria can count to 20, identify all of the letters of the alphabet, say her ABCs, sing lots of different songs and every day she is identifying new things/objects. She wakes up between 7:30am-8:30am. She is only taking one nap a day. She usually goes down around 1:30 and sleeps anywhere from 2-3hours. Anne Cambria really enjoys going to Mother's Day Out this year at FUMC. She names all of her "friends" and teachers and talks about what they did. It is so cute. She is really into Sesame Street right now. Elmo and Abby are her favorite, but Ernie is a close 3rd. ;) We are also into baby dolls and "taking care of them". She still eats well. Her favorites include oranges, chicken nuggets (grilled Chick-fila nuggets are her favorite), mac and cheese, Doritos, green beans, peas (she LOVES peas...kinda weird ha), banana, toaster strudels, cake, pork tenderloin and strawberries. 

Anne Cambria still has the sweetest demeanor and is a very loving child. We are loving every minute with our sweet girl and we are so thankful and proud to be her parents!

34 weeks and 5 day check up

I had my 34 week and 5 day check up today and I had a sonogram to check her weight/estimated due date again. Mary Kate is a healthy baby girl. We watched her practice breathing and doing a sucking motion with her mouth. Her kidneys and bladder looked good along with her other organs. At the end of the sonogram they measured her again.....drum roll please. She is actually not projecting as big as the 30 week and 6 day sonogram! Hallelujah! She was around 5lb 10oz (55th %tile, her last sonogram had her in the 68th %tile)......so if she gains 1/2lb every week from now until January 3 (my induction date) she would be right around 8lbs at the most. I was very excited to hear that! Also, her estimated due date moved from December 30 to January 3. Dr. Webb seemed to be ok with all of that. He hasn't been too concerned about her size any way. I was the one that was having the mini heart attack. :) I go back to the doctor December 10 and we will see if I have started to progress any. I highly doubt I have. I haven't had any Braxton-Hicks contractions or other "signals" that there may be progress going on. The only complaint/symptom I have right now is two pulled muscles. I over did it while gearing up for Holiday Tree Festival and Anne Cambria's birthday party. So now, I have MAJOR issues walking/bending/etc. I was told to rest and not lift anything......HA! I have a 24month old.....rest and not lifting are not an option. So I am just waddling around, laying on heating pads and taking Tylenol. :) I'll update again on December 10! :)

Tupelo Christmas Parade

This was Anne Cambria's first time to go to the Tupelo Christmas Parade! She had a great time. We didn't stay for the entire parade because it was the same day as her birthday party and we had some last minute things to take care of. She liked watching the bands and cheerleaders. And of course loved the snowmen and Santa Claus!
