This past weekend we took Anne Cambria to the North Pole Express just outside of Birmingham, AL. She was SO excited to get to "go to the North Pole and see Santa". We stayed in a hotel in Birmingham and did a little shopping too! Anne Cambria was obsessed with riding the escalators in the mall "just like Caillou". :) Now back to the North Pole Express.....it started off great. Anne Cambria wore her cute Christmas gown and was so excited when we got there. Anne Cambria loved looking at the trains and sitting in the big seats. She also enjoyed talking to all the elves while we rode to the "North Pole". However, once we got to the North Pole, she wanted to get off the train to go see Santa. Well, that isn't how it works. He and Mrs. Claus come on the train and greet you! Well, Anne Cambria did not like this idea and she was very concerned with the fact that Santa did not have his hat on. She would not cooperate for pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus and after a few attempts, we gave up. She did enjoy her chocolate chip muffin and hot chocolate though. ;) All in all, she had a great time! Hopefully next time Santa will wear his hat! Ha!
