Painting Pumpkins and Birdhouses

We have had a fun Fall so far! Anne Cambria is really into pumpkins and Halloween, so we have been being a little crafty. :) We decided to paint some pumpkins! We are going to carve one closer to Halloween, but I didn't want it to rot. So, we headed to Wal-Mart and stocked up on some paint and brushes and Anne Cambria went to town! She was enthralled in painting her pumpkin. It was precious to watch. We also picked up a little wooden birdhouse at Wal-Mart too. For all of you moms out there who's children watch Caillou, you know the episode where he and Sarah paint the birdhouse! Well Anne Cambria wanted to paint her own birdhouse too!!
Here is a little documentation. :)

This painting business is intense!

And now the birdhouse......

Buffalo Park and Pumpkin Patch

We took the girls to the Buffalo Park and their Pumpkin Patch this past Friday. Anne Cambria had a blast and Mary Kate was excellent. Mary Kate just sat in the stroller and took it all in for the most part. Anne Cambria fed the giraffe some lettuce again and we got to ride "her" horse Blacky. She rode him for like 10 minutes straight. She LOVES it. We saw all the animals and even got to hear the female lion roar several times. The girls were not too thrilled with that. After the Buffalo Park we played on the playground for a while to wait for some schools to clear out of the Pumpkin Patch area.
We loaded up and drove out to the Pumpkin Patch and Anne Cambria loved looking at all the animals out in the field. We had a lot of fun at the Pumpkin Patch. Anne Cambria picked out a pumpkin for herself and then one for "sister". She had her face painted for the first time and was a little unsure about it at first. After playing some other fun games, we went on the hayride! The girls LOVED it! I think Mary Kate was just glad to get out of the stroller ha! We had such a fun time! :)

Mary Kate is 9months old

Baby girl is 9 months old! I cannot believe it. This year is flying by and Mary Kate is changing so much! We went for our 9 month check up and she did great. It was nice to not have to get any shots too! Mary Kate is 29in long (80th %tile) and 22lbs 3oz (90th %tile). She has one tooth and the second is about to pop through. She is crawling EVERYWHERE now and she is even taking steps while holding on to things. She is such a happy baby. I have been very blessed with easy going babies and I am SO thankful for that. She is still taking two naps a day, but the morning nap is only about 45mins-1hr. She loves to take a good 2-2.5hr afternoon nap so that is always helpful. :) Mary Kate will pretty much eat anything I give her. She LOVES mandarin oranges and strawberries. She also likes chicken, lima beans, peas, mozzarella cheese and yogurt. Mary Kate is having no problems trying to keep up with her older sister. It is amazing how entertained she is by Anne Cambria. I am so thankful for another healthy, happy baby girl! We love you Mary Kate! :)

Mary Kate will not sit still :)

Always on the move

Pitiful face ;)

The Fire Truck Visits FUMC Preschool

On Thursday October 3, Anne Cambria got to see a real fire truck up close and personal! :) The fire truck came and her whole class got to go outside and meet the firemen and see their truck. There were a few criers in the younger 2year old room, but all of Anne Cambria's class loved it! I tried to be incognito so Anne Cambria wouldn't notice me being there taking pictures but that didn't work so well. However, she did actually stay where she was suppose to and paid attention to her teachers. The firemen put on their "gear" and talked to the kiddos about fire safety and dialing "911". After that, they all got the chance to walk through the fire truck. Anne Cambria loved it! She was in awe of all the gadgets! When I picked her up from preschool that day she told me all about the fire truck and her "new friends", the firemen. :)
