Grove Baby

Anne Cambria has been so much fun in the Grove this year. She went to the Ole Miss/AL game a few weekends ago and had the best time! She took a few steps in the Grove, played with the grass, ate some leaves, "talked" to people, strolled, and played with her toys. She was so good! For the game, we got to sit in the Rebel Club, so Anne Cambria was on her best behavior! Even though we lost (and lost bad), we still had a great time!

Hotty Toddy!

What do we do all day?

Now that I am part time, me and Anne Cambria have so much fun during the week. I usually only work 2 days a week (sometimes 3), so me and Anne Cambria are having a blast! Here is a glimpse into my days off. :)

Bye, Bye Bottle

Anne Cambria is officially 100% off the bottle. It kinda makes me sad, but everyone tells me that she did me a favor by stopping the bottle herself. When we started the sippy cup at 6 months, she was not too interested. But by 7 months, she LOVED the sippy cup. She has been off the bottle during the day for over a month now, but she was still taking a nighttime bottle right before bedtime. However, last Saturday night, when I was trying to give her a bottle, she literally threw it in the floor and fell asleep in my arms. I knew that was the end. Last Sunday I put all of her bottles in a box, taped shut, and in the cabinets. I was worried not taking a nighttime bottle might make Anne Cambria wake up earlier because she may be hungry, but it hasn't affected her sleeping at all. She still goes to sleep by 8:30pm and wakes up anywhere from 7:00am-8:30am. It is normally 7:30, but every now and then she will let Momma sleep til 8:30 which is such a treat. But her sleeping is a totally different topic. I am so thankful for a happy, healthy baby girl, but it also breaks my heart to think of how fast the past 10 months have gone by. Bottles are no more at this house! Yay for Anne Cambria! You are such a big girl! :)

10 months old

Another month has gone by and my sweet baby is 10 months old! I say this every time, but she is growing up WAY TOO fast. She is still the best baby and our lives totally revolve around her. She is taking steps, walking with furniture, completely off the bottle, eating lots of table food, and developing the cutest personality! Anne Cambria has tried lots of table food including: turkey, cheese singles, string cheese, gold fish, broccoli and cheese, cauliflower and cheese, bananas, spaghetti Os, roast, steamed carrots, cinnamon french toast sticks, blueberry waffles, strawberry waffles, yogurt, vanilla ice cream, grilled chicken, baked chicken, mac and cheese and biscuits! We are still on a two naps a day schedule. I am curious to see when she tolerates dropping her morning nap. I am thinking we will work on that in January. ;) She has started going to Baby Pre-school at FUM one to two days a week and is making lots of little friends. I am loving being part time and spending more time with her. We have so much fun together. I have started planning her 1 year birthday party which is both exciting and depressing. It makes me so sad to think that a whole year has almost gone by already! I LOVE this stage and I wish I could hit a "pause" button every now and then.

First Steps

Anne Cambria took her first step on Friday, September 23! I cannot believe she is beginning to walk. She was 9 1/2 months old when she took her first step. I figured she might be an early walked because Johnny walked at 8 months and I walked at 11 months, and she proved my prediction right. I was so excited she took her first step before we left on our trip to Las Vegas. I would have been so sad if she had taken her first step and us not have seen it. Johnny and I were both sitting in the living room floor playing with her and she just stood up, turned towards the ottoman and took a step. I think she was surprised because after that one step, she gently sat herself down and looked around like "Wow, that was neat!". She has since taken two more steps. She took one step at Gran's house while we were in Las Vegas on Thursday, September 29 and she took another step PLUS she "turn around" towards where she wanted to go on her own on Thursday, October 5th. She is walking like crazy holding on to furniture but she is beginning to get more and more interested in letting go and wanting to walk independently. I am just amazed at how fast my angel is growing up and it makes me kinda sad. But, I am so thankful God blessed me with a healthy, happy child and Johnny and I love watching her learn something new everyday. We love you, Anne Cambria! ;)
