Rollie Pollie

Anne Cambria rolled over today! She is such a big girl. ;) She has been rocking back and forth on her tummy for days now and we have just been waiting for her to roll over. And today, after she woke up from her morning nap, she was doing her "push-ups" in the crib, starting rocking, and then....BLOOP, she just rolled over. You would have thought she discovered the cure for cancer because I was so excited. I know it wasn't her first steps or anything, but it was definitely one more milestone conquered. I didn't get any pics or videos of it, but we now have the video camera out and ready for any surprise rolls! :)

Queen Anne

happy baby :)

happy birthday to me

Anne Cambria loves "bun bun" (he came all the way from France)

February 9, Anne Cambria turned 2 months old. The day before we had our 2 month check up and our first round of shots. She weighed 11 lb 2oz (50th percentile) and 22 3/4 inches long (50th percentile). She did great with her shots. I think they hurt me worse than her. ;)

Fabulous Foundation

I have discovered the best foundation. My face has been really dry ever since I had Anne Cambria. I don't know if it's hormones or what, but my LORAC foundation has been making it worse. So, the other night I was watching E! and this makeup artist was talking about this "fabulous" new foundation by L'OREAL. I missed the actual name, so I started googling various L'OREAL products and I recognized the package when it popped up. I picked some up at Walgreens the other day and I LOVE it. It is so smooth and light weight. And it doesn't dry my face out at all. So, if anyone out there is having problems with dry skin, I highly recommend this. L'OREAL Magic Souffle. It comes in a bunch of shades but it is pretty easy to match it to your skin tone. Anyways, I think it is just fabulous. :)

Life Update :)

For those of you that don't believe it when people say "a baby completely changes your life"....take my word for it. Anne Cambria has completely taken charge of our house and we love it! She is the most content and happy baby. She is "talking" constantly now. She has almost complete control of her head/neck and we have advanced to the bumbo seat as of a week ago. She has conquered her mini push-ups and when we stand her up on her legs, she "bounces" up and down. Or she will do this little sway type motion too. Johnny calls it her hula dance ha! She went for her two month check up on February 8 and she did perfect! She was 11lb 2oz and 22 3/4 in. We got all of our vaccines and she wasn't even fussy. I attribute that to the pre-treatment of Tylenol an hour before the shots and every 4 hours for 24hours. She was 2 months on February 9 and I need to upload the pictures from our photo shoot. Anne Cambria's sleeping habits are fabulous....she naps every day from around 9-11:30ish and then again from 1-4:30ish. Bath time is promptly at 8:30 and she is out for the count by 9:30 every night. And praise the Lord, she sleeps from 9:30pm to 4:30am EVERY NIGHT! Then goes back down til around 8am. We are TRULY blessed to have such a good sleeper....most of my readers know that I do not function well with little sleep. ;)

On another note, wedding season festivities are in full force. We have had 3 engagement parties in the last 5 weeks and its only going to pick up! There are at least 5 weddings this year and I am sure some other happy couples will join the club. Engagement parties are always fun though. Good food, drinks and friends....what better way to spend a Saturday night!? :)

House update: we are on the ONE MONTH countdown! YAY! The weather has literally put us 7 full weeks behind. We were suppose to move in the weekend of January 29, but with two "big" snows, two weeks where the temp barely creeped above 40 degrees and a nice "ice" on the roads a couple times, we managed to get 7 weeks behind. But I think mother nature actually knew best because we are moving in the weekend before my spring break from rotation, so I will have from Thursday to the following Sunday (10 full days) to unpack and get settled. So, I think it has actually been a blessing in disguise.

Anywho, I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend.....I will update with pictures soon!

Valentines Day

I have to take a moment to brag on my absolutely wonderful husband. I told him that this year I FOR REAL did not want to do valentines gifts because we are getting ready to move in the new house and there are SO many things I want to buy for the house. However, when I got home from work yesterday he had a dozen roses, a dozen chocolate covered strawberries, a huge bag of Ghirardelli chocolates and a gift card Spa Day to the Wellness Center sitting on the counter for me. He is such a sweetheart. He is not only a wonderful husband, but Johnny has been the best dad....he gets off work several hours before I do and when I get home, he has all the bottles washed, the baby is normally up playing waiting on momma with a clean diaper and a full belly. He is truly a blessing and I am so thankful for my wonderful husband. Life is so much better with him in it. Props to my hubby! :) We had reservations at Park Heights last night but changed them to tonight because we were lacking a babysitter, but then we had to change them again, and we can't do it this weekend, so we are going to celebrate Valentines Day dinner at Park Heights February 26 ha! :) It's amazing how priorities change when you have a baby......
