Father's Day and Anne Cambria's Baptism

This was Johnny's first Father's Day. It was an extra special Father's Day this year not only because it was his first, but because Anne Cambria was baptized! It was so sweet to dedicate Anne Cambria to Christ and commit ourselves to raise her in a Christian home. It is your duty to raise your child in the way Christ intended.
Proverbs 22:6 " Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it."

Happy Father's Day Johnny!

Water Baby

Anne Cambria loves the water! I figured she would because she has so much fun during bath time. So I bought her this blow up pool and it did take her a little while to really enjoy it. But now, she loves to get in her "pool" and play around. Here is some documentation!

Just because I'm so cute

Last Sunday before church I had a mini photo shoot with Anne Cambria. She just looked so precious in her smocked dress and bonnet that I had to take her picture. I think she realizes that her life will consist of a camera whether she likes it or not. :)
Enjoy!

Why are we doing this again??

you can see her little teeth :)

6 months

June 9th Anne Cambria turned 6 months! Where does the time go??? She is still the happiest, sweetest baby. She has Johnny COMPLETELY wrapped around her finger. It is precious. They absolutely adore each other. We went for her 6m shots on June 10th. Poor baby cried, but not for too long. She was 17lbs 4oz (50th %tile) and 26 1/2inches long (70th %tile). I can't remember her head circumference off the top of my head, but I know it was 50th %tile. I had Anne Cambria sitting on the table when Dr. Ivancic walked in and he was very impressed at how well she is already sitting up. Then I rolled her over to show him her "crawling/rocking" skills and he said most babies do not do that til 7-8months. I knew we had a genious on our hands. ;) He gave us the go ahead for all baby foods. She has tried all of the single ingredient foods except prunes. I think prune juice is disgusting and her digestive track is quite regular, so I am going to hold off on those. She is now taking the size 2  Gerber Organic portions. We also got the go ahead for half water/half juice and we are introducing the sippy cup. She has figured it out, but she is not too big of a fan yet. However, she does like the apple juice! We have two teeth now and they are so cute! She is still sleeping from 9-7, and lately she has even been sleeping in til 7:45 (Thank you Anne Cambria). And of course, here are some pictures from our 6month photo shoot.

First Swim

May 29 we celebrated Grandaddy's birthday. We went over to the Burk's house to grill for his birthday and to do a little swimming. This was Anne Cambria's first time in a pool. I think she thought it was like a big bath tub. She did GREAT. She sat in her float and we "swam" around. She would sit on the ledge and laugh. She really enjoys the water! Which is definitely a good thing considering we are going to the beach in 10 days! Here are some pictures from our first swim!

I am going to crawl so soon.....

she absolutely adores Johnny.....melts my heart.

Sitting, Rocking and Rolling and Teething.....Milestones!

Anne Cambria has had a very busy and successful past 8 days. On May 30 she sat up for 7 minutes straight without toppling over. We are officially a "sitter". And now she LOVES sitting up. If you lay her down to play now, she starts fussing until you sit her up. She is such a big girl. This next milestone is going to happen SOON....crawling! On May 26 I actually watched her rock on all fours for the first time! She will get on all fours and rock back and forth, then look at you and grin so big! She is probably thinking "I am about to take off!". And she is! She can actually scoot about 3 or 4 inches while on all fours. She just hasn't mastered the whole coordination yet. But it is coming! Anne Cambria is such a rollie pollie now too. If she can't scoot to it, she will just lay down and roll to it. Front to back, back to front....just whichever gets her where she is wanting to go. Lastly, we have cut our first tooth! It popped through sometime between Wednesday night and Thursday around lunch. It is the cutest little white dot. However, it is pretty sharp and when she chews on my finger now, it tends to hurt ha! It is amazing what all babies accomplish in such a short amount of time! We go for our 6month check up on Friday so I will post stats and pics then!

Recap:
Rocking on all fours as of May 26, 2011
Sitting Unassisted as of May 30, 2011
First tooth cut through June 2, 2011
