Back in the Swing of Things

Well, unfortunately Christmas break is over and school is back in FULL swing. I thought I would be use to it since last semester was so hard/long/exhausting, but I feel like I have that "deer in headlights" look every time I go to study. Hopefully I'll get back in a routine pretty soon (which comprises sleeping, studying, not seeing Johnny, and eating late at night when I shouldn't). Other than that, not much has been happening. We went out for mexican food and bowling last night with Ben and Kory, and I must admit it probably some of the most fun I have had in a while. So our once a year bowling outing is taken care of for 2009 ha. Well, I am headed to bed....oh, and if anyone cares, I am cheering for the underdogs tomorrow in the Super Bowl. Go Cardinals!

Christmas, New Years, and Madison/Jackson

I have been lazy about posting, so I figured I would catch up tonight. We had a wonderful first Christmas as a married couple :) We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with my parents and then Christmas lunch and evening with Johnny's parents. We had such a great time visiting with our family. That weekend, we took our usual visit to Johnny's grandparents in Kosciusko, MS. This year we took interstate 55 instead of the usual boring drive down the Natchez Trace, and I must say it was a much easier/enjoyable drive.
For New Years Eve, we had dinner at The Grill and then we went to City Grocery to meet Ben and Kory for drinks. It wasn't crowded like football game weekends so it was a very nice evening.
This past weekend we spent our time searching for places to live in Jackson/Madison area. I really, really dread moving down there, so I was not too excited, nor enthused about house hunting. We found a lot of houses for sale, but not too many for lease (but there are some, mainly in the Madison/Gluckstadt area). We are only going to be in the Jackson area for 10 months (thank the Lord), so we are not buying anything.....but it also makes the hunt a little harder since we are trying to find something to lease. So, if anyone knows of any really good lease properties, give me a heads up! Otherwise....the hunt continues for a house!
