Our New House

We finally closed on our new house! We made the offer around March 4 and had to wait until the end of May to close due to some stipulations from the sellers. It is on Lakeshire Drive and we are currently in the process of demolition. Renovations are suppose to take 5-6 weeks so we are hoping to be in by the middle of July. I took before pictures and will upload them along with after pictures. I cannot wait to see the final product!

Potty Training Success!!

As of May 28, 2013 we are 100% potty trained. We have conquered going both #1 and finally #2. It took her maybe a week to figure out #1, but there was something about going #2 that made her want to hide. Literally, she would hide to go #2. It was maddening! This mama was about to go nuts. I even mentioned it to our pediatrician at Mary Kate's 4month check up. Dr. Ivancic basically laughed in my face and said that it would just "click" one day. And on May 28, 2013 it did! She walked up to Johnny and said "I need to poo poo" and sat on the potty and went #2. We are so proud and excited for this milestone to be conquered. I know there will be the occasional accident, but the daily "hide and go #2" is now over!! Hallelujah! And as a reward Anne Cambria got a new water table and splash pad!

Anne Cambria's First Gymnastics Recital

We were so excited for Anne Cambria's first recital! She and her little friends at Flip Flop Gymnastics had a sweet little recital. :) It was short and sweet but precious at the same time! Anne Cambria started 5 months late due to her birthday being in December, but she caught on quick and by the time the recital rolled around, you couldn't even tell! Here are some pictures of our little gymnast!

Trying to get a group shot of 8 two year olds is a hard task!

Last Day of Preschool in the Older Toddler Room

I cannot believe the school year has come to an end. Yesterday was Anne Cambria's last day in Ms. Tina and Ms. Martha's room. I am so sad to leave them. Anne Cambria loves Ms. Tina and Ms. Martha. They both had her in the infant nursery at church too. She called them My Tina and Me Marta. She had such a sweet class this year. Five of them are in the same Sunday School room at church! I was so excited to hear that they will all stay in the same room next year too! Plus there will be 2-4more children added. She starts Summer Fun on June 3 and I know she will be thrilled to start that! She has Mrs. Sherri McCullough and Kathy Wallace as her teachers. I am so excited! Here is a picture from the first day of school and the last day of school. Wow at what 10 months will do!

Mary Kate vs Rice Cereal

I have tried Mary Kate on rice cereal three times and finally the third time was the charm! I tried once at 14weeks in her bottle and that was a BIG mistake. It hurt her stomach bad! Then I tried it when she was 16 1/2 weeks and 4 days shy of her 4month birthday. I should have known she wasn't ready because she wouldn't even open her mouth around the spoon. And, it still upset her stomach. She cried and cried! It was terrible (for both of us!). And then yesterday, May 16, I gave her some for breakfast and she loved it! She opened her mouth and even did the chewing motion. Thankfully, her stomach has adjusted very well to it this time! I am giving her rice cereal once a day for breakfast for a week, then I will do it twice a day until she is closer to 5months and we will start introducing baby foods. I did the "yellow, green, fruit" method with Anne Cambria so I will probably do the same with Mary Kate!

Mother's Day 2013

This year I had twice the reason to celebrate Mother's Day, my 2 precious daughters. Anne Cambria has been such a sweet big sister and has adjusted very well. Mary Kate is settling in to her own little personality and is such a sweet baby. I am beyond blessed to have 2 healthy, happy girls. My cup runneth over!

We had lunch at Romie's with Granny and Big Daddy and then for dinner we cooked at Gigi and Grandaddy's! Johnny fixed 99% of our dinner and it was delicious! He is such a thoughtful husband!

Computer Issues

So for the next few blog posts there won't be any pictures. :( My computer memory is maxed out, my computer won't recognize my external hard drive to free up space and I cannot figure out how to fix it. I am headed to Computer Universe on Wednesday while Anne Cambria is at Summer Fun! I'll add pictures to the posts once I get some computer space freed up!

Mary Kate is 4 Months Old

Mary Kate turned 4 months old last Friday and we went for our 4 month check up yesterday. I am loving every minute with her! She is more of a mama's girl than Anne Cambria was at this age. She just smiles and talks all the time. She laughed out load on April 23 while my mom was playing with her. It was precious! She is still sleeping really well at night and her nap pattern is much better. Nap "boot camp" was worth it. She is taking naps from around 9:30am-11:30am, 2:00pm-4:00pm and a cat nap from 5:30pm-6:00pm. She still goes to bed around 8:00pm, but sometimes she will fall asleep at 7:45pm. She is only taking four 8oz bottles a day. We tried rice cereal right after she turned 16 weeks and it upset her tummy SO bad. Dr. Ivancic said we could try it again now or wait a few more weeks. He said until she is 6months that all she really needs is milk anyways! I am going to wait a few more weeks because her sweet little tummy was just so upset. As for milestones are concerned, we are consistently rolling from stomach to back and we can almost roll from back to stomach. Dr. Ivancic said she was a bit ahead of schedule as far as rolling is concerned. Mary Kate can grasp objects with her hands and pull them towards her face as well! She has great head control now and LOVES sitting in the bumbo and jumperoo. I guess the view is better. ;) She still doesn't care for tummy time, so now she just rolls herself over when she is tired of it ha! She loves watching TV too! Mary Kate hasn't grabbed her feet yet, but she stares at them a lot now. I figure she'll reach for them in the next week or two. We got all of our vaccinations yesterday and she only cried for a few seconds! Bless her heart! :( Here are our stats:

Height: 25 1/2inches long (75th %tile)

Weight: 16lbs 3oz (85th %tile)

Feeding Schedule: 4 bottles (8:00a, 12:00p, 4:00p, 7:30p)

Sleeping Schedule:

Naps 9:30-11:30ish, 2:00-4:00ish and 5:30-6:00

Sleeps from 8:00pm-7:00am

Likes: playing on her mat, watching TV, bath time

Dislikes: tummy time

I couldn't add all the pictures from my camera due to my laptop being on the verge of crashing! I'm heading to Computer Universe this week to get it fixed and will upload more pictures. Here is one from my iPhone! :)

Finally, here are pictures from my camera!

Happy 4 months to Me!! :)

Cheeeese!

I could kiss those cheeks all day long!
