Swimming with Anne Bailey

On Tuesday we went swimming with Anne Bailey and Angelia Thomas. We love play dates with Anne Bailey, and now that I am part time we will have lot more! Anne Bailey and Anne Cambria were so sweet to each other. Anne Cambria is never really around other babies and it was cute to see how excited she got when Anne Bailey came in! They jabbered to each other and Anne Bailey was so sweet to share her water toys with Anne Cambria. I know they are going to be good friends for many years to come!

Where's Anne Bailey?

cheese!

I'm so excited you are here!

give me a hug! :)

Do your fingers taste as good as mine do??

And We're Up!

Anne Cambria is officially pulling up and trying to balance on her own. Now that she has figured out how to stand up, that is all she wants to do. Sunday morning she slept til 8:15 (thank you angel), so we didn't make it to church because momma and daddy slept in too. So, after breakfast I put her in the playroom and went to get my coffee and came back to find her standing up at her "activity" table all by herself. She pulled herself up with no help! She is such a big girl. The next thing will be walking.....ohhhh goodness. Everything will change once she gets going! She now stands with both feet flat on the ground. It took about a week to get off the tippy toes! Here is some documentation.

I'm pretty :)

6 month pictures with Jill Carter

A few weeks ago we had Jill Carter come to our home and take Anne Cambria's 6 month pictures. I am doing newborn, 6 month, and 12 month pictures for the first year. Then we will probably start having them yearly. Jill Carter is absolutely amazing. I don't think I'll ever be able to use anyone else! She is so nice and it is so wonderful that she comes to your house. She was here for about 3 hours and we got some really cute pictures. She sent me a "sneak peak" and I am in love! I cannot wait to see the rest of them! I thought I'd share with everyone! :)

7 months old

My sweet baby was 7 months old on July 9. Where does the time go?? Tonight Adam and Mary Frances Massey came over with baby Molly who is three weeks old and it reminded me of how quickly time flies. She is so tiny and Anne Cambria seems so "grown up" compared to her. I absolutely LOVE the stage Anne Cambria is in right now, but I wish I could hit the pause button for a while. She reaches for me, she laughs at me, she is starting to prefer me over Johnny (especially when she is sleepy), and she is just so happy. We are so blessed that she has been the easiest baby. Other than despising her car seat, she is absolutely perfect. We didn't have any "colic" issues, we started sleeping through the night (~7hrs) at 6 1/2 weeks and she is just so happy. She has of course (like all babies do), had her "off" days, but 9 times out of 10, she is such a pleasant baby and I am so thankful to God that he gave me the opportunity to raise her.
As for milestones, Anne Cambria is still eating baby food and she is not so interested in big people food. She will reach for our plates/bowls/etc, however, when I mashed up a banana and gave it to her with her banana oatmeal, she got SO mad. I mean SCREAMED at me (of course after she had spit it out). We have also tried some baby food with chunks of noodles in it, and she pitched a fit over that too. She will pick puffs off her high chair tray and put them in her mouth and then spit them out. So she does get the concept, I think she is just figuring out what she likes and doesn't like. We have introduced the sippy cup and she isn't too fond of it. She knows how to use it, but she rarely takes the initiative to drink from it. If I put it up to her mouth she will, but other than that, she is fine without it. She eats three meals a day, and she has a "snack" after her afternoon nap. We have dropped to 3 bottles a day, and sometimes she will even skip her late afternoon bottle. Anne Cambria has already started pulling up. She can completely pull herself up from sitting to standing now. This happened about 3 days ago. She is still "army crawling" but is starting to do "real" crawl more and more. However, she is actually faster with her army crawl. But now that she has discovered standing up, that is all she wants to do now. Johnny took his first steps at 7 1/2 months, and I think Anne Cambria is going to follow in her daddy's footsteps!

So here is a recap of our precious baby at 7 months:

Food Schedule:
Breakfast: oatmeal and a fruit
Lunch: veggie and fruit
Snack: yogurt cup
Dinner: meat, veggie, and fruit

Takes a bottle around 9:15am and 2:00pm

Nap Schedule (times vary a little):
Morning Nap: 9:30ish
Afternoon Nap: 2:30ish

July 4th Weekend

We had a relaxing 4th of July weekend. We did yard work, cooked out, and swam! Anne Cambria loves when we are both home with her and she gets all of our attention. Johnny hung her swing outside and she LOVES it. She loves to swing inside in her doorway jumperoo, so I figured she'd like her outside swing too. Monday we swam at our neighborhood pool and surprisingly we were the only people there for most of the time. Anne Cambria loves to get in the swimming pool. She is a little water baby for sure! :)

First Family Vacation

June 21, 2011 we took our first family vacation to Destin, FL. Anne Cambria was such a good baby and she had a blast! She swam and floated with her daddy and we had the best time. She did great in the restaurants and she pretty much stayed on her usual schedule. We had a minor crisis because I left the SM card for the camera at home, but never fear, I found one in the store down in the lobby! :) I'm sure the price was inflated compared to good ole, Wal-Mart, but it did the trick! I literally took 400 pictures (99% of them were of Anne Cambria). However, I will not be uploading all 400 to our blog. I'll just give you a little taste of how much fun we had with our sweet baby girl! We love you, Anne Cambria!
