Nursery Photos Finally

Anne Cambria's room is finally finished. Well, let's just say its 95% finished. I am on the hunt for an antique mirror to go above her changing table. I have looked EVERYWHERE. All the mirrors at Lowes and Home Depot look like junk and all of them at Pottery Barn are too contemporary. I want a frameless antique shaped mirror, but I could deal with one that has a frame if it was gorgeous. So, needless to say I am still on the hunt. But I AM going to find one! It is driving me nuts looking at that big blank wall. Plus, Anne Cambria needs to be able to look at her beautiful self! :) Here is a picture of what her room looks like. And remember, disregard the big blank wall above the changing table. ;)

her bedding up close....I LOVE how her bedding turned out

The bedskirt and curtains are my favorite part of the nursery. I think they look so feminine!

I got her baby book from a store in Highland Village in Jackson...I couldn't find any customizable ones in Tupelo.

Food....YUMMY!

Anne Cambria has started eating baby food on May 15! YAY! We started rice cereal April 12 and we did that once a day (at dinner) for 2 weeks, then we transitioned to twice a day (breakfast and dinner) for 2 weeks. She was not a huge fan of the rice cereal, so I slowly added apple rice cereal and banana oatmeal to it about a week ago, and she gradually increased the amount she ate. Now we only have apple rice cereal and banana oatmeal. No more plain, gross rice cereal. And on May 15 we started baby food. I was trying to hold out til 6 months old, but she is so interested in what we are "doing/eating" when we sit down for meals that I figured it was time. She would grab at our plates and utensils and watch so intensely. So now we are eating baby food! :) We have our baby food at lunch. Since I am still introducing veggies, I want to make sure she isn't allergic to anything, so from noon to bedtime I can watch for any rashes or other signs/symptoms of allergies. So far we have had squash and carrots. She loves them both. We have done each for 2 days. Our pediatrician recommended two to three days of each before switching to another so we could look for food allergies. Most people do not realize that just because you have something once and do not have a reaction, does not mean that you are not allergic. Allergies are weird in their mechanism of development, and sometimes the second time exposure is actually what triggers the allergic reaction. So, that being said, we have been allergy free so far and Anne Cambria is loving squash and carrots. I am moving to green veggies next. I want to save the sweet potatoes and fruits for last. I do not want to give her too much sugar at first......she may have a sweet tooth like her Momma. :) Anyways, here is some documentation from the momentous milestone!

Squash for the first time

I forgot to add that Anne Cambria now sits in high chair! :)

Doctor of Pharmacy

FINALLY. FINALLY. FINALLY. I am FINALLY finished with college. Eight years later, I am finished with school. It has been a long time coming and I am not bragging about getting my doctorate, I am thankful. I am so thankful to all of my family and friends that prayed for me and lifted me up, because without your love and support, I would not have made it. However, I must say it does feel nice to have PharmD behind my name now. ;) On May 14, we walked across the stage and got our "diplomas" (or an empty diploma holder). It was a momentous day and I am so relieved and over joyed to be done. D-O-N-E. 8 years of college can take a toll on one's sanity, especially when you plan a wedding, move twice, have a baby, and build a house all while finishing school. But I am so proud and thankful to say that we are permanently moved to Tupelo, we have a beautiful new home that my father built, we were chosen to be the parents of our amazing Anne Cambria, and now I have graduated. I am going to be part-time at NMMC main unit and I am super excited. It's amazing how God puts things in to place for you. Without him, everything falls apart.

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Romans 8:28 "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

Mother's Day

Last weekend was my first "real" Mother's Day. I say "real" because last year when I was pregnant, Johnny got me a Mother's Day gift too. He got me a really sweet pregnancy journal that went week by and week. I have actually read through it since I had Anne Cambria, and it is funny to see what all was going on each week. But this year was the real deal! :) I had my precious Anne Cambria. We went to church Sunday morning, then had brunch at the Grill with Johnny's family (Anne Cambria's great grandmother was in town), and then we had a cook out with my parents and his parents at our house. It was a great day and Johnny got me a wonderful first Mother's Day gift. Anne Cambria is truly a blessing and we thank God every day for giving us such a precious angel. I love her more than words can describe.
Here are some pics from the day.

A Diva Already??

What do you think??

Doorway Jumperoo

Anne Cambria LOVES, I mean LOVES her jumperoo. So I figured, why not get her one that can go in the kitchen/living room so when I am cooking or something, she can watch and play in her jumperoo? I got her a doorway jumperoo and she loves it! However, it took forever to find a doorway for it to go in. All three doorways in our kitchen do not have crown molding and one is a brick archway, so there went that idea. And in the living room, all the doorways are 10ft or more....so the jumperoo didn't even get close to touching the floor. So, we FINALLY found a doorway in the hallway right behind the kitchen that was low enough AND had crown molding for the jumperoo to hang from. As we figured, she LOVES this jumperoo too. And, this one kinda acts like an indoor swing as well. She is such a big girl! :)

I think I like this......

ohhhh yeah!

Thanks Mom!

happy jumpy baby
